Goodbye, Jr.

For anyone who follows baseball, Ken Griffey, Jr. has retired.  'Tis a sad, sad day in baseball, but I hope (and rather doubt) that this will be the last we hear of or from the Kid.  Even so, the Seattle Mariners' dugout must be a quiet place, without Jr. to poke people, play pranks, and generally bring the team together.

Also, RIPs must go out to Dennis Hopper, Gary Coleman, and the truly magnificent Lena Horne.  For better or for worse, all are irreplaceable.

Rue McClanahan died today. So sick of all the sad news. Depressing.
